Visit Leake County

Welcome to Main Street America

As the only geometrically square county centrally located in the heart of Mississippi, Leake County offers a little bit of everything:  small-town charm, big-city amenities, natural beauty, and a vibrant culture. Leake County serves as the hub for our great State with major highways such as HWY 35, HWY 25, and HWY 16 running through it making Leake County conveniently located near major cities such as Jackson, Starkville, Meridian, and Hattiesburg.

Within our county are several popular tourist spots, including beautiful lakes, acres of parkland, The Natchez Trace Parkway, Leake County Water Park, Coal Bluff Park, and several historic sites.

Leake County is also home to Native American territory owned by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. The Standing Pine and Redwater communities are beacons of historic MBCI culture within Leake County.
