MSCLC is hosting its inaugural pet mayor election. The pet mayor, if elected, will serve a one-year term from the time of election. They will be invited to participate in public events and ribbon cuttings hosted by the Main Street Chamber during their term.
This is a fundraiser for our organization’s public improvement plans in the historic downtown districts of Leake County.
The pet mayors’ race is currently open for bids. To register, please fill out the application and pay the $10 processing fee.
Preliminary Race will be held virtually until August 31. Online voters will select their favorite candidates. We will take the top 5 from the “primary,” and they will campaign until Oktoberfest. We will have virtual and in-person voting available at participating businesses to be announced at a later date.
